Performance

Performance awards are for young people who have spoken up and taken action on the issues they care about.

Meet the 2010 Performance finalists!

Who are Performance awards for?

Young people who have already produced change in their school, youth group or community and deserve to be recognised for their campaigning achievements. People like:

  • Ryan, age 17, from Westham who recruited a number of young people to design and build a garden at a local elderly residence. The garden, which they maintain since the residents aren’t able to, has become a symbol of their good work and already changed perceptions about young people in their town
  • Dede, Ian, Holly and Kirsty, aged 16-18, from Co. Durham who are all young carers. They set up displays and hosted events about what it’s like to be a young carer to raise awareness amongst peers, teachers and youth workers.

How can I nominate?

Young people can nominate themselves or nominations can be made by teachers, youth workers, peers, parents or anyone else. The awards are for individuals and campaign groups of any size.
