CHANGEit is looking for images of campaigning in action or your view of the change you see in the world around you.
Meet the 2010 Photography finalists!
Are you a campaigner? Are you part of a campaign? Have you noticed a positive change in your school, club, community or more widely? Do you just have an eye for photography but need a subject? Send us your pictures!
Finalists and Prizes
Twelve short-listed images will be selected to be displayed in a CHANGEit photo exhibition. Of the twelve finalists, two will win £250 in cash prizes to be awarded at the CHANGEit ceremony in central London. An online public vote will also be run to award one popular vote winner a prize of £250.
Who are the Photography awards for?
Photographer awards are for all 11-18 year olds who live in the UK and want to share their images of change. It doesn’t need to be your own camera, but it does need to be your own work!
What are the judges looking for?
Judges are looking for creative images that represent campaigning. They can be images of campaigning in action, the end results of change or your own view of the change you see around you. Whatever it is, we’d like the images to be about change that is either created by or directly affects young people.
Image requirements:
Image types: We will accept images in JPG (JPEG) and TIF (TIFF) formats
Size: The online application will only allow for images of up to 1MB in size. If your image is larger, please create a copy and re-size it for submission. Should your image be short-listed, we will get in contact with you for the higher resolution image.
Resolution: Ideally, images should be of a high-resolution (300dpi is common). We will accept all photo submissions though, so if your image is fantastic, but the quality not so great…send it in anyway!
File naming: When submitting an image online, please name the image as your own name or as the title of the photograph. (examples: change_it.jpg or changeinaction.tif)
Printed images: If you have a hardcopy of an image, you will need to submit your application via post (see details below).
How can I enter?
To submit a photograph simply fill out the online submission form and upload your image file. You can submit as many pictures as you want, but will need to fill out the form for each. If you only have a hardcopy of your image, you may download the nomination form and send it to us via post:

Do you have video of campaigning?
Film is not an official category for the CHANGEit awards just yet, but if you have captured a video of campaigning in action, we’d love to see it! You can submit the online form for AVI, WMV, MOV and MPG files, or download the PDF application and email it in with your video file.
